When you go through a winter like we have had in New Jersey, forecasts of 50 degree temperatures in the first weekend of March are reason for optimism. And Mother Nature came through in a big way. What a weekend! I’ve lived in a bunch of different places (NJ, California, Tennessee) and there is nothing better than the first good weather in the Northeast. Entire neighborhoods, which had hibernated during the winter, explode with the sounds of humanity and kids playing.
But this weekend got off to an even better start when the Today Show featured Joe Mamone of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Long Island on a segment about how different men and women are when it comes to shopping for a home. The Today Show utilized a study Coldwell Banker did a few months back on the topic and Joe did a great job in explaining the findings.
As I watched, I wondered how many couples were seeing it too before heading out to look at homes. Hopefully they read the study.
It was only two years ago when my family relocated to New Jersey from Nashville. And as we went through the buying process, it was clear that my wife’s “must-have’s” didn’t always match up to mine.
Clearly, we weren’t alone.
